On November 26th, 2014, Romano‘s Jewelers hosted a Thanksgiving dinner party for our active duty military customers who were unable to fly home for Thanksgiving. Many of our customers were sad that they wouldn’t have enough time or money to take leave and go home to see their family. At Romano‘s we pride ourselves with always treating our customers like family so if they couldn’t go home to spend Thanksgiving with their family we wanted them to be able to spend time with their Romano‘s family. Romano’s San Diego Thanksgiving DinnerPartnered up with the Sheraton hotel in Mission Valley California we invited all of our customers and even their friends that couldn’t go home for Thanksgiving as well to a Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixens. It was a beautiful event with a free photo booth, the hottest DJ in San Diego and even a live performance from the famous performing artist Trea tha Truth who was flown in from Texas just to perform live for everyone.
We had 2 special guests that joined us that evening for dinner. A 92 year old WW2 veteran and his wife that had no family in San Diego that got up and gave a speech about his experiences in the military. The second guest speaker was a pastor from the local church who got up a blessed the dinner we were going to eat and gave thanks to the service members that give their life to keep us safe. He also is a veteran and knew the sacrifices that they make to serve our country.
Romano’s Military Thanksgiving Dinner in San Diego was a Great Success!
Everyone had a great time. After dinner the party began… Trae tha Truth walked in and started the party right with a live amazing performance, picture taking with the service members and the DJ turned up the music and everyone danced the night away…. Everyone was very thankful to have had the opportunity to come and enjoy a Thanksgiving party that was thrown specially for them. Many of them came in to the store the next days after the party and thanked us over and over telling us they’d never gone to such a fun and beautiful event and hoped that if they are stationed in San Diego next year we would do it again.
